Who We Are

Benjamin and Stephanie Collins are a husband & wife duo who reside in Franklin, Tennessee. By trade, Ben is a multifamily real estate developer and Stephanie is an event designer for her own Nashville-based event production company, Socialize Event Co. Both have long maintained an incredible work ethic, entrepreneurship with a deep appreciation for travel, design and real estate. Not ones to sit still for long, it’s no surprise that Ben and Stephanie founded 1801 Properties in 2019 after seeing a need for refined rental homes in the market.

As one of their favorite authors, Bob Goff, would say – one caper lead to the next. Within three years of finding one another, they traveled across the country visiting a network of Airbnbs and 5-start hotels, dreaming about growing their respective businesses and one day starting one of their own. During that time they lived in six different homes (in 3 years!) – both renting and owning along the way. Little did they know that this nomad lifestyle would give inspiration to their dream. With a love of design, real estate and the “experience” business, they knew that it wouldn’t be long until their dream of starting a business together would become a reality. 1801 Properties was born. The name rooted in tradition and tied to their first rental property venture, 1801 Properties was formed to bring a new level of design, style and customer experience to the single family rental business.
